Clinics, Workshops, and Camps

If you would like to have a event in your home town let us know and we'll see about making it possible!  1 877 728 8987 or drop us an email at info@thehorseranch.com. We have many benefits for our clinic hosts, ways to earn money & ride for free if you like organizing events and groups of people.

Clinics

A safe and fun learning environment where you can try a variety of techniques with hands on help, receiving feedback on what action to take specific to your situation. Spectators are welcome and it can be a valuable experience to watch a variety of horses and situations, but nothing beats the experience of actually participating as a clinic rider. You'll accelerate your horsemanship by building mental and muscle memory that comes from actually doing and gain confidence that comes with knowing you are asking your horse properly for the result you are looking for. Sometimes the best part of a clinic can be getting a better picture of what to ask for in the first place!

Clinics are usually always structured around a specific stage (sees stages program.)

Clinics are generally two to four days long and are held in a variety of locations, wherever there are horses.

Workshops

Workshops are where we will be helping you further your horsemanship skills, group exercises as well as addressing individual points/questions for where you and your horse are at in your development.  Get the hands on help you specifically need, and build on some things that will benefit everyone.  Workshops have more varied content based on individual needs, and can be based on many different stages depending on the participants themselves.  Workshops are for people that have been to one of Glenns clinics already and have the basics of his program (or that of a similar clinician, where folks understand what lateral flexion is, or a 9 step backup, indirect rein, etc.)

Camps

A camp is something we have up here at our ranch only, and is structured around a particular stage.  They are usually always longer than a clinic or workshop.  Anywhere from 4 days to 3 months.

Glenn has enjoyed teaching from Whitehorse, Yukon Territories to Itapira, Brazil. Please check our website schedule. If you would like to have an event in your area, please call us about the benefits of our clinic hosting program.

The following are some general guidelines to take into consideration.

  • All participants must be 16 years of age or older - exceptions may be made on an individual basis.
  • Please do not bring stallions or un-started horses. To get the most out of your clinic experience bring the most dependable horse you have, the one you are the most comfortable riding.
  • You are not required to have any particular equipment at a clinic, but we do recommend a halter, lead, horseman's stick and string if you would like to purchase these at the clinic we will have everything there, or you can get it in advance through our online store at www.naturalhorsemanshipequipment.com.

Thanks for another great Clinic at the North 9 Ranch of Jeff and Penny Coleman in Stonewall Manitoba!  Everyone did a great job, and the progress in horsemanship was amazing!  Congratulations with your good beginnings and continued horsemanship successes guys and gals, you have lots to feel really good about.  A special thank you to Jeff and Penny for making this possible, Ainsley Gerrard for her artistic contribution, and all the students who make it so rewarding and worthwhile.
