Congratulations to Roland Sawatzky! 

Roland just completed the Canadian Championship Horse Training Competition and won 1st place out of 16 competitors.  Roland is very handy with horses, extremely athletic, and a recent graduate of Glenn’s 2009 3-Month Horsemanship Course 1, a case in point that:  "If you look after your horsemanship, your horsemanship will look after you."

Glenn was invited to participate in the colt starting competition but couldn't make it due to prior commitments, so he persuaded Roland to take part.  Roland made the decision to go and it was a good one!    We would like to wish Roland all the best in his bright future with horses!  Here is what Roland had to say about it all:

"Hello Glenn & Dixie,
I want to say a big thank-you to Glenn & Dixie for putting on such a great summer.  I came to the Horse Ranch for the summer of 2009 to participate in the 3 month horsemanship course.  My goal for the summer was to refine and improve my horsemanship, and I believe through Glenn’s guidance that goal was achieved.  Then with Glenn’s encouragement I entered the Canadian Horse Training Competition, each of the 16 competitors received an unbroke 2 year old to accomplish as much as possible with in 4 sessions.  With my improved skills and additional tools from this summer I was able to win the competition.  Thanks Glenn for all your help it is very much appreciated.
