"In the spring of 2005 as a 42-year-old non horse-riding enthusiast I attended my first natural horsemanship clinic with Glenn Stewart in Winnipeg Manitoba to watch my wife. Not knowing what natural horsemanship was really about I did what all good horse husbands do, help out and don't complain!! After a couple days of watching the clinic I was amazed at what Glenn could do with horses in such a short period of time. This was unlike any horse show I had ever had to endure; it was actually fun to watch!!! I suggested to my wife that maybe I should get a horse she laughed!!! Determined to prove to her that it was not just a phase, I began to use her horse to achieve my first level of natural horsemanship. Not really wanting to share her horse, we began looking for a good horse; I soon learned that not many good horses are for sale.
After approximately a year of looking for the perfect horse we asked Glenn if he had any horses for sale. Glenn said he did and told us to come out and have a look? Being that we live in Ontario, dropping in at Glenn's was not really an option. Instead, Glenn & Dixie sent us pictures of the horses for sale and made suggestions as to who would match my horsemanship abilities or lack of!! So with some pictures, guidance and the wisdom of Glenn I purchased Roxy a 3- year- old filly in November of 2006. In the spring of 2007 my wife, her horse and I made the 2500 km trip to Fort St John, BC to pick up Roxy and participate in an 8-day camp with Glenn. This was the start of a relationship I did not think I could have with an animal, let alone a horse! Roxy has had the perfect start in life with Glenn, giving her a foundation for me to build on. She is light, respectful, intelligent and willing to please. Roxy has accelerated my horsemanship journey, always making me want to learn more. I cannot thank Glenn and Dixie enough for selling me Roxy, she really is that perfect horse!! - Kevin Glenister, Dryden, Ontario"
