Update:  Over $3200 now and more coming in! Wow, some amazing sponsorship for the Extreme Horsemanship Clinic and Competition this weekend - some people that took care of their horsemanship (and their Chili making skills!) are going to really be rewarded for it !

Calgary Stampede Extreme Cowboy Up Challenge Day 1

We are excited to announce our annual Extreme Horsemanship Clinic & Competition at The Horse Ranch, 22 km East of Fort St. John, BC.  This year will be more exciting than ever with a two day fomat.  The first day is going to be a clinic to build your horsemanship and prepare you for this fun event, and the second day will be a Horsemanship Demonstration with Glenn at 1030, and the competition.  There will be catagories with Buckles, and prizes awarded for first, second and third places.  

Extreme Horsemanship or  Extreme Cowboy Racing is one of the fastest growing equine sports in North America.  It encompasses at bit of all disciplines, Ranch work, Dressage, Reining, Jumping, and showcases great horsemanship.

    * Contest for the best Chili Saturday night - bring your chili in a crockpot and join us for the potluck, fire, and some guitar playing!
    * Lots of camping available!  
    * Equine Therapy Demonstrations with  Mikey Nielsen   

    * Riders $250 plus HST , please preregister in advance by phone or email dixie@thehorseranch.com, entries are welcome up until 12 noon Friday September 9th. 1 877 728 8987 or local calls 250 789 3072.   Clinic starts at 9 am both days.  Free Camping.  Second Horse $125.

    * Spectators welcome, come and cheer on the riders! Please bring your lawnchairs and everyone is welcome to join us for a Family  Saturday night Chili Cookoff, potluck supper and evening fire.  Bring your guitars!  No dogs please.

    * Concession available for lunch.  

    * Campers welcome,  please call to preregister for pens, cabins or camping spots in advance as space is limited.  If you would like to arrive the night before, Friday the 9th,  just let us know.

    * Pen Fee: $15 per horse per night - please bring  your own feed, buckets, and please clean your own pen.  

    * Camping spot with power $25 per night.

    * Cabin Tent $30, Big Cabin $40, per person per night.
