Three Month Horsemanship Course - May 15-August 12 2010

Get ready to live your dream!

Glenn’s vision is of empowering people to dream of the extraordinary and live up to their full potential, turning their dreams with horses into reality.  The 3 Month Horsemanship course is for those looking to make a lifelong lasting change of excellence in the way they interact with horses, and will allow students to progress and develop their skills at a pace far exceeding regular approaches.  We’ve designed the course so that it will fit each individual level of experience and ability to progress at a pace that is possible yet challenging.  The 3 Month Course will encompass aspects of the Horse Ranch Camps and Glenns Stages Program, and will take place at The Horse Ranch, concluding with a High & Wild Wilderness component providing a challenging learning environment and horses in their most natural form. Here is what some of last years students had to say:

"Thank you very much for an awesome summer.
This was the first time I have been away from home on my own and I will never forget it.
Over the summer I have learned so much about horses and the way to handle them.  I also learned a lot about myself through the working student program.  All that I have learned has already helped me with the job I had this fall wrangling horses in the mountains and I know it will help me for many years down the road.
I will be coming back next year for the three month course, and hopefully I will be coming back for many years to come.
Thank you Stewart family for everything this summer and fall, and thank you Glenn for making sure I was always paying attention.
Sincerely
Dillon Kaiser"

Because of Dillon’s effort, dedication and great attitude, Glenn organized a position for Dillon to go to work for Big Nine Outfitters immediately after the three month course was over, to get the knowledge and skills he acquired over the summer working for him right away. He did an excellent job in this position, and was invited to be part of a special crew that stayed right to the very end of the season.  The skills Dillon is learning, along with his great character, has also earned him a position at the Horse Ranch.  He is enrolling in the 2010 3- Month Horsemanship course to continue his education, and will be back in early spring to help set up for the summer.  He is going back to work for Big Nine Outfitters and has already been promised a wage increase for every three month course that he completes.  Rarely are people so focused – WAY TO GO DILLON!  You have a long and bright future with horses ahead of you, and best of all, you got focused with your plans and you are already living your future dream with horses right now.

“My goal for the summer was to refine and improve my horsemanship, through Glenn’s guidance that goal was achieved.  With Glenn’s encouragement I entered the Canadian Horse Training Competition, as one of 16 competitors.   With my improved skills and additional tools from this summer I was able to win the Championship.  Thanks for all your help, it is very much appreciated.”  - Roland Sawatzky

"When I first enrolled on Glenn's 3 month Internship, I was still a
fairly novice rider.  I had spent many an hour in the saddle but was
desperate to improve both my riding and my understanding of horses.  I had experienced many methods of teaching, ridden lots of different horses and received a fair few bumps and bruises along the way, all of which I knew could have been avoided, if only I knew how!

My summer with Glenn and Dixie was a truly amazing experience.   The huge amount I have learnt and the confidence I have gained in such a short space of time is hard to comprehend!  Using basic principles Glenn teaches you how to "get" the horse to do things willingly rather than forcing them. Once you begin to understand why horses behave the way they do, you can easily start to influence them and to affect their behaviour.  During my time at the Horse ranch I saw many horses and their owners including myself overcome a wide variety of issues, all by applying the same simple principles Glenn taught.

After completing the 3 month course I truly feel that I have been
transformed in to a "horseman" rather than just being a rider.  My one piece of advice for anyone considering the course? Beware! On leaving Glenns you will be hooked! Natural horsemanship is totally addictive! Once you experience the changes it will totally convert the way you work with horses going forward!"
Nicola Cornell, London - UK

"A future with horses will be for those who can walk the walk , not just talk the talk. There will be purpose driven horsemanship, building awareness and confidence through principles and challenged learning. For those who look forward to giving life to their dreams and believe in the reward of investing in themselves and their abilities with horses, I can promise one of the most exciting adventures of a lifetime."
